DotComUnity c.i.c. is a Social Enterprise which primarily supports people with a learning or physical disability and anyone with long term conditions or in receipt of care and support services. Our site is for them and for the people around them, whether that's family or friends, or anyone involved in their care - professionals and service providers.
At its core DotComUnity.org.uk has a simple, easy to use and completely free, directory. It covers every area of life and will tell you what exists to support your or others needs. We won't say if the services we list are any good or not. That's a decision for you to make, by giving feedback on services you have tried and by telling the rest of the world what you think. DotComUnity has introduced a membership scheme to allow members to benefit from our new services DCU Credit Union and DCU Social Media Centre amongst others.
DotComUnity Credit Union is the new brand name for 'Enterprise the Business Credit Union' (EBCU), an established credit union regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA). It represents a credible alternative to the bank system and an ethical choice.
DotComUnity Credit Union is a co-operative for savings and loans mutually owned and run by its members for its members to help people and small businesses to save regularly and borrow in times of need, while promoting budgeting and thrift. Members place savings in the credit union in the form of shares and the members' shareholding creates a pool of money which is used to provide affordable credit to members at low cost. DCU Social Media Centre is a dedicated network that connects you to other DCU members together with the latest stories, ideas and news on topics you may find interesting. Our Social Media Centre's mission is to give DCU members the power to share information, photos, videos, opinions and make your world more open and connected. It's a free service for DCU members.
