What is a C.I.C/Social Enterprise?
C.I.C. stands for Community Interest Company.It means that we are a registered not-for-profit organisation; a Social Enterprise, that will hopefully generate enough income to continue to develop what we have started here, in exciting new ways that meet the needs of the people we are trying to support.
We will do this by finding organisations who share our passion and that really want to help those who face challenges in life through no fault of their own, and who are generous enough to sponsor a region, section, page or category within our website.
Any surpluses we make will be put back into your community through DotComUnity sponsored Open Day events where we take the "virtual" community we have created here and turn it into "reality" by inviting some of the diverse range of service providers we have found and give them the opportunity to show you what they can really do. Clever, or what?
